Hunters find it easier to stalk prey by wearing camouflage. A similar advantage applies to poker. If you’re studying opponents, looking for tells, it’s better if they don’t know it.
Professional poker players tend to wear hats, visors, and sunglasses to shield their eyes from opponents. I use a more deceptive method — the one you see in this video.
